The guide covers topics such as:

  • Introduction to AI and its impact on creative industries
  • Ethical considerations in the use of AI in creative industries, such as bias, privacy, and transparency
  • Legal considerations for AI-generated creative works, including copyright and ownership issues
  • Economic implications of AI in creative industries, such as job displacement and new revenue streams.
  • It also includes case studies of successful AI applications in creative industries, such as AI-generated music and visual art.

The guide is based on the EU DigComp framework of Digital Competences 2.2, which has been updated on AI competencies. In particular, it now includes:

  • Knowledge: to be aware of what AI systems do and what they do not do and to understand the benefits, limitations and challenges of AI systems and
  • Attitudes: human agency and control, critical yet open attitude; ethical considerations of usage. space.

This guide primarily contains information for VET trainers and providers to accompany artists to devise their career and growth in terms of skills and for VET to adapt to the incoming situation. On the other hand, tech enthusiasts that are attracted by practical resources to enhance their skills could hopefully grow a more ethical use of AI tools if not the case already.

The career handbook covers subjects such as:

  • identifying areas of the creative industries where AI can add value to your work or business
  • leveraging AI tools and platforms to streamline creative workflows and increase efficiency
  • positioning yourself as an expert in AI and Creative Industries to attract clients or employers
  • building a sustainable business model that incorporates AI while maintaining artistic integrity and ethical standards
  • navigating the challenges of a changing job market due to AI automation and developing skills that will remain in demand
  • understanding emerging trends in AI and creative industries and anticipating future opportunities and challenges.

Training Implementation Guide to implement the training into VET programmes.

This Training Implementation Guide is a ready-to-use tool for VET providers to integrate into their curriculum. It provides a comprehensive training programme for VET curricula in 5 domains of art:

  • visual arts
  • music and sound
  • video and animation
  • design
  • writing and storytelling.

As a course for CCI VET, the Guide it includes references to the EQAVET framework and EQF to support its transferability in Europe.

Tool sheets on AI-based tools for the creative industries

These 30 Tool sheets are “How to use AI” explanations. Each sheet either covers an entire tool or of a set of tools that can perform a similar function. As in the previous Guides, they are developed for five main art domains (visual, music and sound, video and animation, design, writing and storytelling) and for each artdomain they cover both basic and more advanced techniques to support skill development.

24 workflow examples using AI-based tools

The 24 workflows explain step by step from ideation to the final product how partners created a specific piece of art and refined it using the tools from the Tool Sheet and how they adapted/modified them and refined their concept using art fundamentals and tweaks of the tools.

E-learning course with 1 common part on creative AI basics, and learning experiences in 5 specific domains

The e-learning experiences integrates the content produced into a consistent pedagogical framework. It starts with a common module on understanding the basics of AI in creative processes, and move on to cover 5 artistic domains.
